Ten Carey Scholarships are funded each year by the American Institute of CPA’s foundation to honor students with little or no accounting education who are seeking a graduate accounting degree and CPA licensure.

The $5,000 scholarship was created to encourage and reward students from diverse educational backgrounds. To be eligible a student must have received a liberal arts or non-business undergraduate degree with no more than 12 credits in accounting or business.

Recipients of the Carey Scholarship are selected by a task force which considers applicants based on academic achievement, leadership and commitment to pursuing the CPA licensure.  Applicants must be full-time graduate level students for the upcoming academic year.
