The FINANCIAL -- Sowing areas of winter crops for the harvest-2012 in Ukraine increased by 1.9% compared to the harvest-2011 - to the level of 9.434 mln ha, reported the State Statistics Service of Ukraine .

In particular, sowing areas of winter wheat total 6.709 mln ha, winter rye - 317.9 thsd ha, winter barley - 1.371 mln ha, winter rapeseed - 961.6 thsd ha.
