The FINANCIAL -- For holiday shoppers, the countdown is on to get presents to their destination in time for the big day.
As one of Santa’s biggest helpers during the holiday season, FedEx Express, an operating company of FedEx Corp. and the world’s largest express transportation company, is providing delivery before Christmas for packages shipped by Friday, December 23, 2011.
For the past two weeks FedEx facilities around the world have been buzzing with as much activity as you’d expect from purple-clad Santa’s “elves” during the holiday season. The company is in the midst of its busiest season in history and moved roughly 17 million packages on its busiest day in history, December 12, 2011. To celebrate this milestone and remind consumers that the clock is ticking, Glenn will be joined by team members from across the FedEx family of companies to ring the New York Stock Exchange Opening Bell today.
FedEx Express also has more than 42,000 drop boxes, FedEx Authorized ShipCenters and Alliance Partners at the ready to accept holiday shipments for delivery on December 24. Customers can also schedule a pick-up at their own location by calling 1-800-Go-FedEx.
