The FINANCIAL -- According to operative data, as of September 1, 2010, Ukrainian agrarians sowed winter grains throughout 11.1 thsd ha. As of the reporting date, agrarians sowed winter wheat throughout 4.6 thsd ha.
Agrarians from 5 oblasts of Ukraine started winter wheat sowing campaign: Poltava, Sumy, Zhytomyr, Lviv and Chernihiv oblasts.
"Also, Ukrainian agrarians started the sowing campaign of rye. As of the reporting date, agricultural producers sowed the grain throughout 5.2 thsd ha, or 2% from the planned areas," Agri Market reported.
Besides, Ukraine sowed winter rapeseed throughout 404.7 thsd ha, or 33% from the planned areas.
As of September 1, Ukrainian agrarians prepared 86% of the planned sowing areas for the autumn sowing campaign – 7.88 mln ha. The forecasted winter crops sowing ares will total 9.17 mln ha.
