Civil.Ge -- A new deadline of April 10 has been set for completing voter rechecking process, according to the amendment to the election code passed by the Parliament on March 12.
The state budget allocated GEL 100,000 for each of those twelve parties, which are engaged in the process.
Initial deadline for these parties to complete the rechecking was March 15 and for submitting a written statement on results of rechecking to the Central Election Commission was March 31.
In another amendment, also passed into the election code on March 12, 10-year residency requirement has been halved for those willing to run in the local elections for city council membership.
