This invitation-only event will be held later today at the New York Stock Exchange, to share knowledge and best practices among financial services firms with similar profiles.

“We know that what’s good for women is good for business.  Catalyst research confirms that, on average, there is a clear and positive link between women in senior leadership and enhanced financial performance,” said Ilene H.Lang, president and CEO Catalyst.  “Yet our research also shows that gender stereotyping often misrepresents talents that women leaders bring to an organization, undermining potential contributions as well as advancement opportunities, the first step in moving past these stereotypes to recognize that they exist and look toward solutions.”

“We are pleased to be hosting this event in conjunction with the Women’s Bond Club,” said Duncan Niederauer, CEO, NYSE Euronext. “Forums like this help move the financial industry forward and provide valuable input and focus on the importance of building inclusive workplaces and expanding opportunities for women in our industry and in others. This is a priority for NYSE Euronext, and we are looking forward to participating in this important discussion.”

Approximately one-hundred participants from the financial services industry are expected to attend. Thought leaders in the roundtable will include the keynote speaker, Ilene H. Lang, President and CEO of Catalyst; Duncan Niederauer, CEO NYSE Euronext; Paula Dominick, Managing Director, Global Banking & Markets, Compliance & Operational Risk, Bank of America Merrill Lynch; Aynesh Johnson, Global Head of Global Leadership & Diversity, Goldman Sachs & Co.;   Anahaita Kotval, Managing Director & General Counsel, RBS Global Banking and Markets Americas; Larry Leibowitz, Group Executive Vice President, Global Technology and US Cash Markets, NYSE Euronext Inc.; and Kerrie Peraino, Chief Diversity Officer, American Express.

The WBC holds the Diversity Round Table each year to offer their corporate members a venue to exchange ideas and emphasizes importance of diversity.
