The FINANCIAL -- The Managing Director and CEO, Robert Elstone, on March 15 announced a number of changes to the organisational structure and Group Executive responsibilities within the ASX group.
Mr Peter Hiom will assume the role of Deputy CEO from 1 April 2010 with an extension to his existing responsibilities as Group Executive Business Development.
Mr Colin Scully will retire from his role as Group Executive Operations at the end of November 2010 after a contribution of more than 25 years with the organisation.
Mr Eric Mayne will leave the ASX group at the end of September 2010 following the transfer of certain participant supervision responsibilities to ASIC. Eric has substantially furthered the transparency of ASX’s supervisory practices, and effectively chaired the ASX Corporate Governance Council in his 5 years with the group. A benchmarking and search process for a replacement Group Executive for Eric will commence over coming weeks, with a view to an appointment being made in the middle of the year.
