| Ukraine sold over 16 mln tonnes of grains on exchange market |

The FINANCIAL -- According to the data of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine , as of January 29, 2010, trading volumes of grains of the harvest-2009 on the exchange market of Ukraine totaled 16.41 mln tonnes, including 6.85 mln tonnes on spot contract terms, and 9.55 mln tonnes on forward terms.
Traders sold 35.47 thsd tonnes of grains from the general grain volumes on the terms of inland contracts, and 16.37 mln tonnes – on the terms of export contracts.
On the exchange market, the trade volumes of milling grains totaled 5.8 mln tonnes, including 5.72 mln tonnes of wheat, 192.52 thsd tonnes of leguminous plants. Feed grain sold volumes totaled 10.4 mln tonnes, including 2.17 mln tonnes of wheat, 3.6 mln tonnes of maize, 4.61 mln tonnes of barley.
As of January 29, 2010, trade volumes of oilseeds of the harvest-2009 on the exchange market of Ukraine totaled 1.92 mln tonnes, including 883 thsd tonnes on spot contract terms, and 1.04 mln tonnes on forward terms.
Traders sold 6.58 thsd tonnes of oilseeds from the general oilseed volumes on the terms of inland contracts, and 1.91 mln tonnes – on the terms of export contracts.
On the exchange market, the trade volumes of sunflower seed totaled 74.95 thsd tonnes, rapeseed – nearly 1.67 mln tonnes, soybean – 114.07 thsd tonnes.
