Yanukovych submits Azarov candidacy for Ukraine PM to parliament

The FINANCIAL -- Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych on March 11 formally proposed to parliament the candidacy of his ally Mykola Azarov for the post of prime minister, according to RIA Novosti.

The new parliamentary coalition in Ukraine earlier nominated Azarov for the post.

The coalition numbers 235 deputies and comprises the Party of Regions, now temporarily led by Azarov, the Communists, the bloc of parliamentary speaker Volodymyr Lytvyn, and several independent deputies.
