| Yanukovych Proposes Rada To Appoint Khoroshkovskyi Head Of SBU |

The FINANCIAL -- President Viktor Yanukovych proposes the Verkhovna Rada to appoint Valerii Khoroshkovskyi, the first deputy head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), the head of the SBU.
Ukrainian News learned this from a draft resolution No.6172 registered by the Verkhovna Rada on March 11.
The text of the draft resolution has yet to be posted on the Web site of the Verkhovna Rada.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Security Service of Ukraine Head Valentyn Nalyvaichenko, who is on vacation at present, considers acceptable the candidacy of Valerii Khoroshkovskyi to the post of the head of the special service with Yanukovych.
Valerii Khoroshkovskyi is acting head of the Security Service of Ukraine while SBU Head Nalyvaichenko is on vacation.
On 28 January 2009, then President Viktor Yuschenko appointed Valerii Khoroshkovskyi the first deputy head of the SBU.
On the same day, the Cabinet of Ministers headed by then Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko dismissed Khoroshkovskyi from the post of the head of the State Customs Service.
Khoroshkovskyi had been the head of the State Customs Service of Ukraine since December 2007.
