| Tihipko Agrees For Vice Prime Minister's Post As Ukraine Needs Reforms |

The FINANCIAL -- Vice prime minister for economy Serhii Tihipko has explained his agreement for this post with the necessity to hold reforms in Ukraine , he told a press conference.
He also said that Ukraine is currently in situation when there is an opportunity to implement such reforms.
At the same time, he said he understands that there is certain political risk in his decision to occupy this post; however, he said he is ready to prove his decision was correct.
According to Tihipko, the party he heads, Sylna Ukraina, has supported his decision.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, on March 11, the Verkhovna Rada endorsed the position of vice prime minister for economy and appointed the leader of Sylna Ukraina party, Serhii Tihipko, as its head.
The leader of the People's Self-Defense non-government movement Yurii Lutsenko considers that agreement of Tihipko for the post of vice prime minister threatens his political future.
