| President Yanukovych Goes Way To China For Meeting Authorities |

The FINANCIAL -- President Viktor Yanukovych went way to China on a five-day official visit, Ukrainian News has learned from a source in the Presidential Administration.
In particular, from September 1 to 5 the president is paying a state visit to the People's Republic of China and an official visit to Hong Kong.
On September 2 and 3 Yanukovych will be staying in Beijing, where they plan holding complex negotiations with China President Hu Jintao and meet Wu Bangguo, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of the Republic of China, and Wen Jiabao, the Premier of the Council of the People's Republic of China.
The head of state will also deliver speech at a Ukraine - China business forum, which will be participated by the leading representatives of business circles of Ukraine and China.
Apart from this, the Ukrainian president is supposed to hand over at a solemn ceremony a replica of the Peresopnytske Gospel to the National Library of China.
Yanukovych on September 4 will come to Hong Kong and on September 5 to Shanghai.
In course of a visit to Hong Kong they plan talks with Donald Tsang, the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China.
Moreover, the head of Ukraine will take part in a business lunch with the leading entrepreneurs of Hong Kong, will sea Hong Kong's harbour operation, including container terminals, and also visit the Hong Kong Exchange.
When staying in Shanghai the Ukrainian president will attend an international exhibition Expo 2010, where he will view the national showrooms of Ukraine and China, and also the research and development and design centre of the telecom company Huawei.
In course of the visit of the Ukrainian president to China they plan to sign a joint declaration on an in-depth raising of the level of China - Ukraine relations of friendship and cooperation, to endorse the basic lines of Ukraine - China relations (roadmap) for 2010 and into 2012, to deliver an agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Chinese government on cooperation in the area of plant protection and quarantine, to sign a programme of Ukraine - China cooperation in the field of exploration and use of outer space for peaceful purposes for 2011 and into 2015.
It is planned to sign a document between the State Customs Service of Ukraine and the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China on mutual assistance in verifying truthfulness of the declared value of goods. Besides, they plan to sign intergovernmental agreements on provision of gratis aid to the Ukrainian government, on mutual abolition of visas, and also an agreement between the customs of Ukraine and Hong Kong on cooperation and mutual administrative assistance in customs affairs.
In 2009 the volume of bilateral trade between Ukraine and China shortened by 32.2% against 2008 to USD 4.17 billion.
Ukraine's negative balance in the commercial exchange with China shrank to USD 1.3 billion in 2009 from more then USD 5 billion.
From January to June 2010, commodity turnover between Ukraine and China grew 22.3% in comparison with the same period in 2009 to USD 2.34 billion.
Negative trade balance made USD 1.35 billion for the first six months this year.
