| Prosecutor-General's Office Sends Bribery Case Against Deputy Environment Minister Presner To Court |

The FINANCIAL -- The Prosecutor-General's Office has sent the criminal case that was filed against former deputy environmental protection minister Bohdan Presner on suspicion of accepting a bribe of USD 200,000 to court.
The press service of the Prosecutor-General's Office announced this in a statement.
According to the statement, the main department or investigation of very important cases at the Prosecutor-General's Office has completed the investigation of the case.
According to the Prosecutor-General's Office, the investigation established that Presner demanded a bribe of USD 200,000 in May 2010 and received part of it (USD 100,000) with the acquiescence of an unofficial ministerial adviser in exchange for a promise to facilitate appointment of the head of a regional environmental inspectorate.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the Pecherskyi District Court of Kyiv decided on August 25 to extend the period of detention of Presner until October 1 in connection with the bribery case against him.
Officers from the Prosecutor-General's Office's department for investigation of particularly important cases detained Presner on June 1 on suspicion of taking a bribe of USD 200,000.
He was detained during acceptance of the bribe.
