The FINANCIAL -- On November 11, the Illinois Chamber of Commerce announced its support for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Campaign for Free Enterprise.  This new national effort, called American Free Enterprise.

The FINANCIAL -- The U.S. Chamber's Global Intellectual Property Center (GIPC) on November 11 released a report highlighting different methods of technology diffusion – the process of providing technology to other nations - while hailing intellectual property as a key to advancing green technologies to the developing world.

The FINANCIAL -- Since the previous joint review of their trade policies in 2003, the economic performance of Niger and Senegal has been similar, with an annual average rate of growth of 5,1% for Senegal and 5.0% for Niger over the period, according to a WTO Secretariat report on the trade policies and practices of Niger and Senegal.

The FINANCIAL -- The International Monetary Fund’s African Department has selected Ghana as the site of its second Regional Technical Assistance Center in West Africa (AFRITAC West 2). The site selection was officially announced by African Department Director Antoinette Sayeh during a recent visit to Accra.
