Rio Says Iron Ore Output Hits Record, Expansion On Track

The FINANCIAL -- Rio Tinto PLC said Tuesday it boosted production of key steelmaking commodities in the final quarter of last year, with iron ore output hitting a record as the mining giant pushed ahead with expansion of its operations in Australia's remote Pilbara region, according to Borsa Italiana - London Stock Exchange Group.
