The FINANCIAL -- According to RIA Novosti, the legendary German rock band Scorpions will present on March 18 its farewell album Sting In The Tail in the Russian capital a day before its official world release.
Moscow is the second city on the European leg of the Get Your Sting And Blackout World Tour, which the German rockers said would be their last before the retirement.
"Moscow is one of our first stops during the tour because starting tours in the Russian capital is a very good sign," said the band's vocalist Klaus Meine.
Scorpions performed in MOSCOW for the first time in 1988 and since then toured around Russia practically every year.
Guitarist Rudolf Schenker founded the band in Hannover in 1965. He and Klaus Meine turned 61 last year.
During a career spanning more than four decades, the band won the hearts of millions of fans around the world with hits like Rock You Like A Hurricane, Wind of Change, and Still Loving You.
"We finish our career with an album we consider to be one of the best we have ever recorded," the band said in a message to fans posted on its website.
