This is the third branch of TBC Bank ’s that has been opened since the beginning of 2009.  “Against the background of the world financial crisis, TBC Bank is still committed to extending its network and making serious investments in this direction”, bank officials said.

Isani branch will provide full banking service meaning delivery of all types of products and services. The branch will serve private entities as well as different organizations and commercial companies.

Regardless of the difficult economic and political processes, TBC Bank started the year 2009 quite optimistically and improved almost all major financial indicators.

The Bank’s assets increased by GEL 17 million, i.e. 1% in May, 2009. The growth of the overall deposit portfolio amounted to GEL 22 million, i.e. 3% and net profit reached GEL 5.4 million.

TBC is successfully implementing plans set at the beginning of this year.

The bank opened 3 new branches and one new service-centre in Zahesi.

Due to the conditions of the deficiency of financial resources, a USD 161 million investment was made in TBC Bank from foreign markets. Investments were made by the largest financial institutes IFC, EBRD and FMO. Part of the attracted resources has been used for capital growth and another part is a long-term credit resource to help the Bank become active in the small and medium sized business sector.

TBC Bank introduced a new product on the deposit market - Bonus Deposit. It is a very simple and flexible system of savings. Holders of the new deposit will get an additional bonus as a present on top of the amount saved for one year.

Today, TBC Bank ’s share on the deposit market of Georgia amounts to almost 30% among the 10 leading banks which means that TBC Bank has stably maintained the position of leader by occupying the largest portion of the deposit market.

In February 2009, TBC Bank resumed the successful project of the previous year and started Million Lottery 2. The monthly prizes have significantly been improved and now deposit holders have a chance to win a new apartment at Chavchavadze 5 instead of a car (and GEL 1 million at the New Year’s Eve prize draw).

Three lucky deposit-holders have already won a flat within the frame of the lottery ‘Become a Millionaire’. About 19 thousand New Term deposits and 13 thousand My Safe deposits were opened at TBC Bank . The total volume of term deposits reached GEL 163 million during the action.
