Speaking to reporters in Ankara, Yildiz said by Thursday evening Iranian supply will be back to normal and Azerbaijani gas supply will be back in phases.

According to Borsa Italiana - London Stock Exchange Group, earlier Wednesday, an official for BP PLC, which runs the Shah Deniz platform in Azerbaijan that distributes to Turkey through the Baku-Ceyhan pipeline, said the problem had been resolved and normal supply would resume Wednesday afternoon. A Turkish government official told television channel CNBC-e that the technical issue with Iran's supply to Turkey had also been resolved and supply would normalize by midday Wednesday.

Tuesday gas flow into Turkey from Azerbaijan and Iran dropped to a daily 6 million to 7 million cubic meters from the usual 40 mcm after cold weather prompted technical issues with gas compressors.

Turkey's Energy Minister Yildiz said Tuesday that the problems would be resolved promptly and hadn't affected Turkish gas consumers.
