Four Seasons Hotel Chicago: You Say Tomato, We Say Cheese

The FINANCIAL -- Creative combinations of tomatoes and cheeses sandwiched to perfection and paired with beers and wines.

This month, the grilled cheese and tomato sandwich grows up at Seasons Lounge at Four Seasons Hotel Chicago, where Executive Chef Kevin Hickey shares four unique versions inspired by flavours near and far. From the Caprese, which features a delightful taste of Italy, to the Cheddarhead, which draws on flavours of Wisconsin, there is a sandwich to please most every cheese lover.


The sandwiches can be enjoyed for USD 7.00 each or paired with drinks for USD 12.00 each. The menu is available from August 19 to 31, 2011 and includes:

Caprese

    Cherokee tomato, Calabro mozzarella, rooftop basil
    Benvolio, Pinot Grigio, Friuli 2008

Ham & Cheese

    Slagel Farm ham, Prairie Breeze Swiss style cheese, Sofie beer mustard and purple Russian tomato catsup
    Chimay Rouge Abbey Dubbel, Belgium

The Cheddarhead

    Neuske’s Pig Candy, brandywine tomatoes, aged Widmer cheddar
    Sprecher Summer Pils, Wisconsin

The Spaniard

    Chorizo, manchego cheese, piquillo pepper and green zebra jam
    House Michelada cocktail

In addition, Seasons, Seasons Lounge and Seasons Bar are celebrating the tomato harvest with special menus, desserts and a trio of tomato cocktails priced at USD 9.00 including:

The Tomatini

    Stoli Vodka, tomato water, fresh basil, agave, tomato powder, micro basil, cucumber infusion

House Michelada

    Corona, fresh lime and heirloom tomato juices, Tabasco, Seasons "Special Sauce"

Signature Bloody Mary

    Prepared with artisan dill and cucumber-infused Ciroc Vodka
