
The FINANCIAL -- In June 2011, Air
France was named “Best European Airline” by the Gold List Award of China
Tourism, according to Air France.
The Chinese monthly ‘Voyage’ also awarded it with the "Most innovating Business class" prize. At the end of 2011, the Chinese daily International Herald awarded Air France for its efforts in favour of the environment.
Air France currently flies to Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Guangzhou from its hub at Paris-Charles de Gaulle. This network will continue to expand in April 2012 with the launch of flights from Paris-Charles de Gaulle to Wuhan. Air France will become the first airline to offer non-stop flights between Wuhan and Europe, with three weekly services operated by Boeing 777-200ER equipped with 309 seats: 35 in Business class, 24 in Premium Voyageur and 250 in Voyageur/Economy.
Air France pays particular attention to the needs of its Chinese customers. Crews receive training in Chinese culture, especially to better welcome passengers when they board and Chinese interpreters are present on board all flights to China. Announcements are made in Mandarin and Cantonese, as well as French and English.
On board, Air France offers meals designed by Chinese chefs. Jasmine tea is also offered in all cabin classes.
The in-flight entertainment is also multicultural, with a choice of international movies subtitled in Chinese. Moreover, there is also a film in Mandarin or Cantonese in the "world" section, which is regularly changed.
