The FINANCIAL -- Marriott International and Ritz-Carlton leaders were recently honored by the Trumpet Awards Foundation during the 20th Annual Trumpet Awards, according to Marriott.

The leaders were selected from a group of nominees and were recognized as African American achievers in the hospitality industry who embodied the spirit and principles of the Trumpet Awards.

The Trumpet Awards was created in 1993 by Xernona Clayton who has built it into a prestigious testimonial around the world to celebrate and honor African American achievers and those who support the African American experience.

The FINANCIAL -- Serbian president-elect Tomistlav Nikolic will make Brussels his first official visit after he takes office in the coming weeks, Slovak Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajcak told media Thursday.
