Starwood Hotels Launches Dream Vacation Contest on Facebook

The FINANCIAL -- Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide wants to know “What Vacation Means to You” so the global hospitality giant has launched a dream vacation contest available exclusively on Facebook, accoprding to Starwood Hotels & Resorts.

Whether it’s a luxurious beachfront villa overlooking azure waters, or a sleek urban oasis in the heart of one of the world’s most cosmopolitan cities, travelers in North America are invited to answer what vacation means to them by posting a picture, photo or even a poem to Starwood’s Facebook page. Entries into the contest must be submitted by February 28, 2012. Ten finalists will be announced on March 6, 2012. The Grand Prize winner will be announced on March 27, 2012 based on who receives the most votes from other Facebook fans.

The Grand Prize winner will receive a five-night vacation at a participating Starwood hotel or resort in North America, plus roundtrip airfare for two via SPG Flights, $1,000 USD for vacation spending and two Maui Jim sunglass gift cards. Two finalists will each win a two-night stay at a participating Starwood hotel or resort in North America, and one randomly selected voter Sweepstakes Winner will receive a two-night weekend stay at a participating Starwood hotel or resort in North America.
