Book now for Chef Eats Out at Tom Kerridge's Hand & Flowers

02/02/2012 02:23 (118 Day 14:45 minutes ago)

The FINANCIAL -- Tom and Beth Kerridge have had an incredible journey since opening the Hand & Flowers in the beautiful town of Marlow in Buckinghamshire in early 2005, according to Caterer and Hotelkeeper. Within one year of launching, they were awarded a Michelin star, and Buckinghamshire Newcomer of the Year in the Good Food Guide, three AA rosettes and one Egon Ronay star.

A Newcomer Award Catey swiftly followed – in 2007 – and in October last year, in the publication of the 2012 Michelin Guide for UK and Ireland, the Hand & Flowers became the first pub to have been awarded two Michelin stars. Only 17 restaurants in the UK and Ireland hold two Michelin stars, just 10 of them are outside London.

Of course, when you look at Tom’s career, his accolades shouldn’t come as any surprise. The former head chef of the one-Michelin-starred restaurant Adlard’s in Norwich also worked as senior sous chef at Monsieur Max in Hampton and spent periods at London restaurants Odette’s, Rhodes in the Square, Stephen Bull and the Capital.

To celebrate Tom’s recent success and exclusively sample his food among fellow chefs, Caterer and Chef have joined forces to arrange our next Chef Eats Out event at the Hand & Flowers on Monday, 26 March.

The event – for 40 lucky diners – will begin about noon with a drinks reception, followed by lunch at about 1pm. It is expected to finish about 3-3.30pm.

The four-course set menu will comprise crispy pig’s head with artichokes; parsley soup; a main course of spring Cotswold roe venison with English asparagus and ox tongue; and a dessert of Hand & Flowers chocolate cake with salted caramel and muscovado ice-cream.

In addition to the lunch, our sponsor, Chef, will also be taking the opportunity to showcase some products based around its current proud to be British food campaign.

If you would like to book a place at this unique event, costing £65 per person, complete the form below.
