The FINANCIAL -- On March 4, the Latvian national airline airBaltic is launching flights between Vilnius and Gatwick Airport in London.
airBaltic Chief Commercial Officer Tero Taskila: “We see that Vilnius Airport is the first in the Baltics to demonstrate recovery of local passenger traffic after 18 months of crisis. airBaltic is delighted to offer the new Vilnius-London service and will evaluate opening more directs routes from Vilnius in the future.”
"airBaltic currently offers nonstop flights from Vilnius to Amsterdam, Berlin, Copenhagen, London, Munich, Paris, Riga and Rome. This summer, there will also be nonstop flights from Vilnius to Dublin, Hamburg and Oslo," airBaltic reported.
Passengers on the Vilnius-London flight will board Boeing 737 aircraft for a flight that will last for two hours and 55 minutes. One-way ticket prices will begin at LVL 18 (EUR 25), including Airport and transaction fees.
