The FINANCIAL -- Non-stop flights to Lisbon are in the summer Flight Schedule s from Dusseldorf. Lufthansa is commencing daily services ex Dusseldorf to the Portuguese capital from 12 April.
"The flight takes around three hours. Lufthansa is the only airline to offer a non-stop connection between the two cities. From Dusseldorf, Lufthansa is also expanding its European network with the addition of non-stop flights to Edinburgh. Lufthansa is laying on six flights weekly from the state capital of North Rhine-Westphalia to the Scottish capital, beginning on 26 April," Lufthansa informed.
Edinburgh is one of Europe’s most beautiful cities and a huge tourist attraction. The ‘Edinburgh Festival’ staged annually in summer is a magnet for lovers of art and culture. The City is also an important trading centre, linking Scotland with Scandinavia and the European mainland. Lufthansa CityLine, one of the Lufthansa regional partners, operates six flights weekly (Mondays-Fridays; Sundays) with a Regional Jet CRJ 700, departing Dusseldorf at 15.45 hours and arriving in Edinburgh at 16.25 hours. The return flight takes off from Edinburgh at 17.05 hours and lands in Dusseldorf at 19.45 hours.
Architectural splendour and a rich cultural heritage distinguish Lisbon uniquely from other European capitals, making it a fascinating city to visit. The choice for holidaymakers is wide and varied: From enjoying Portugal’s traditional fado music in the high-lying Bairro Alto quarter above the city centre, to visiting the Jeronimo Monastery in nearby Belem or commanding a panoramic view of the City and the Tejo from the Castello de San Jorge. The return flight at 10.45 hours lands in Dusseldorf at 14.45 hours.
Other newcomers in Lufthansa summer Flight Schedule s from Dusseldorf are Athens, Gdansk, Dubrovnik and Naples. Connections from Nuremberg to Dusseldorf are to be increased to up to five daily services. Flights to Toronto are re-included in the summer timetable in order to accommodate demand on routes to North America. Lufthansa is flying to Miami up to mid-May (23 May) and, subsequently, again from 8 October. Flights to Newark (New York) and Chicago are available all year round. In the summer Flight Schedule s ex Dusseldorf, Lufthansa is operating around 878 flights weekly to 60 destinations in Europe, Germany and North America.
