Last month, 92.82% of SAS' 15,607 flights arrived on time, putting SAS far ahead of its European and American competitors. Only three Asian airlines (Korean Air Lines, ANA and Japan Airlines) managed a punctuality record above 90%.

"We are very proud to be the most punctual airline in the world. It's the result of the dedication and hard work of our staff, who every day provide our customers with that unique service, that characterize SAS. With our innovative check-in solutions, being amongst the first airlines to introduce Fast Track security and now being the world's most punctual
airline, no competitor can come close to SAS in offering time-efficient air travelling," says John Dueholm, Deputy President and CEO of the SAS Group.

"It is extra pleasing to see that whilst SAS is now the world's most punctual major airline, our Norwegian airline Widerøe is the world's most punctual across all airlines, both minor and major airlines. Widerøe's punctuality for August was an unrivalled 95.72%. So we are extremely proud that the SAS Group holds both titles," says Dueholm.
