Australia condemns Syria bombings

The FINANCIAL -- The Australian Government strongly condemns the bombings in Damascus.We extend sympathy and deep condolences to the families of the victims.

We condemn all acts of violence and terrorism, and those responsible should be brought to justice.

The people of Syria have made clear all year their desire for political reform in Syria and deserve to see their aspiration for a peaceful transition to an inclusive, democratic Syria realised.

 

The Australian Government repeats its call for President Assad to step down.
