The FINANCIAL -- According to RIA Novosti, a man was killed in the U.S. state of South Carolina when a small plane made an emergency landing on the beach where he was jogging, a local paper has said.
The Post and Courier quoted an emergency services spokesman as saying the plane made an emergency landing on March 15 after experiencing engine failure.
While landing, the plane hit and killed a man who was walking or jogging on the beach, the paper said. The pilot and passenger were reportedly not injured.
Federal aviation and transport safety authorities are investigating the incident, the Post and Courier said.
