In the first quarter of 2018, Ukraine exported agricultural products at over 4 bln USD

The FINANCIAL -- According to the State Statistics Service, in January-March of 2018 Ukraine supplied agricultural products on foreign markets at 4.3 bln USD, or 38% of the general exports, reported the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine on May 16.

Traditionally, products of plant origin formed the largest share in the agricultural exports — 2.2 bln USD, including grains — 1.6 bln USD. Also, in the reporting period the exports of oils and fats totaled 1.2 bln USD, prepared foods — 700 mln USD, live animals and products of animal origin — 279 mln USD, according to APK Inform.

In addition, in the first quarter of 2018 Ukraine imported agricultural products at the sum of 1.3 bln USD, including products of plant origin — 570 mln USD, oils and fats — 65 mln USD, prepared foods — 498 mln USD, live animals and products of animal origin — 210 mln USD.
