The FIANNCIAL -- Sheremetyevo International Airport has recently announced the statistics of its operational activity for March and three month 2015. The number of passengers served since the start of the year lowered by 0.9% against the same period of 2014, reaching a total of 6,378,000 passengers.

Passenger traffic on international airlines in January-March 2015 lowered by 5.1 %, totaling 3 million 622 thousand passengers, and on domestic airlines increased by 5.2 %, totaling 2 million 756 thousand passengers, according to Sheremetyevo International Airport.

According to figures for March 2015, passenger traffic at Sheremetyevo Airport lowered by 4.4 %, totaling 2 million 268 thousand passengers. Moreover, passenger traffic on international airlines in February lowered by 7.9 %, totaling 1 million 280 thousand passengers, and on domestic airlines increased by 0.6 %, reaching 988 thousand passengers.

Paris, Prague, Bangkok, Beijing, Shanghai, Tel Aviv, New-York, Amsterdam, Rome, Istanbul and Kiev, were among the most popular foreign destinations, while St. Petersburg, Krasnodar, Yekaterinburg, Sochi, Simferopol, Rostov-On-Don, Samara, Mineralnye Vody, Kaliningrad, Vladivostok, and Kazan being the most sought-after domestic destinations.

The main airlines showing growth in passenger traffic in the January — March were Aeroflot, Nordwind Airlines, Donavia, AirFrance and Nordavia-RA.

In January — March 2015 year Sheremetyevo Airport supported the execution of 59,792 take-off and landing operations, which is 1.1% more compared with the same period in 2014. In March, the airport’s volume of takeoff and landing operations grew by 0.2 %, reaching 20,756 operations.
