The FINANCIAL -- On 22 September 2015, Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister David Jalagania met members of the Jordan-Georgia Friendship Group of the House of Representatives of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, who arrived in Georgia at the invitation of the Parliament of Georgia. The Jordanian delegation was led by Head of the Jordan-Georgia Friendship Group Atef Kawar.
The Georgian side welcomed the visit of Jordan’s parliamentary delegation to Georgia and noted that the development of inter-parliamentary co-operation between the two countries will promote the further enhancement of friendly and partner relations between Georgia and Jordan, accoording to MFA Georgia.
Talking points included the issues on the agenda of Georgia-Jordan bilateral co-operation and future plans, including the importance of high-level bilateral visits, development of the bilateral international legal framework and co-operation within the international organisations. Global challenges in our region, Middle East and the world as a whole were also discussed.
The Jordanian side reaffirmed the strong and unequivocal support of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan
for Georgia’s territorial integrity within its internationally recognised borders.
