The FINANCIAL -- Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Giorgi Gakharia, presented a new Head of the Innovations and Technologies Agency to the employees.
Giorgi Zviadadze has been selected at the position upon the competition announced and conducted by the Ministry of Economy. The newly appointed Head of the Agency will assume office on 21 June, according to Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.
“The state spends a lot of resources on the innovative development of our country and we need more efficient and visible results. These are the main goal and the task that the Agency faces today. Upon the active work under the new Head of the Agency, we believe to have significant results promptly. You face interesting, new challenges when performing your duties and we hope you will continue your work with renewed energy under the new management and introduced even greater results” – Giorgi Gakharia stated.
The Minister highlighted the importance of delivering the innovative knowledge to every citizen, which will result in generating ideas for creating business products and stated that the new Head of the Agency is quite experience in this regard. “We would like you to propose new ideas, plans and projects as soon as possible and we will jointly discuss all the projects whose implementation will bring us to success,” - Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development noted.
Giorgi Zviadadze graduated from the Faculty of Humanities of the Iv. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, he also obtained the Master Degree in Criminal Law of the CU and successfully accomplished MBA programs Lithuanian Mykolas Romeris University and the UK Middlesex University. In 2016-2017, Zviadadze was at the position of the Information Technology Manager at the Langua Paslauga in Vilnius. In 2012-1207 he held the position of the Chairman of the Small and Medium Enterprises Association’s Supervisory Board
In 2009 Giorgi Zviadadze established GlobalCell and was in charge there up to 2017. In 2004-2006, he was a innovations and new products contractor-manager at the Geocell. Zviadadze is the founder of numerous successful companies in Georgia as well as abroad. Giorgi Zviadadze has 13-year experience of working at different positions.
“Over the past two years, I had been working in Lithuania on a research on the development, modeling and management of the innovative ecosystem platforms in the post-soviet countries and I think that the best place to implement the results of my research is the Technology Park in Georgia. I think that this a great organization created upon the initiative of the Prime Minister of Georgia and it deserves to be serves with all my heart and soul. I am ready to use all my skills, time, energy and experience in serving my country,” - Giorgi Zviadadze stated at the meeting with the staff of the Agency.
According to Zviadadze’s assessment, Georgian citizens have very strong mental abilities, there are many ideas and one of the main challenges is to transform these ideas into the business projects. “Such projects should bring benefit not only to the Technology Park but Georgia, where there will be a profitable climate for investing in this regard. Georgian innovations is a brand for many other countries and we want to work very actively in this direction,” - Giorgi Zviadadze summarized.
