The FINANCIAL — Welcoming Janelidze’s visit to Brussels prior to the Eastern Partnership Summit, the Co-Chair of the Group of Georgia’s Friends, MEP Clare Moody said Georgia is a clear leader among the EaP countries.
“We support Georgia’s progress achieved in various directions from democratization to judiciary and economic development. EU supports Georgia in all these directions and we should make sure this support will continue to benefit the Georgian people”, Moody said.
According to her, the Resolution on recommendations for the Eastern Partnership passed by the Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament highlight the importance of the European Union’s relations with the Eastern Partnership countries, in particular, with Georgia.
The Georgian Vice Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze is paying a two-day visit to Brussels. Within his visit Janelidze has met with different political groups, while tomorrow he will address members of the European Parliament at the Committee on Foreign Affairs, according to MFA of Georgia.
