The FINANCIAL -- In the first ten days of May 2015, Ukraine faced rather favorable agro-meteorological conditions for growing and development of all agricultural crops, informed the review of the Ukrainian hydrometeorological center, according to APK-Inform.
As of May 10, in most oblasts of the country the moisture content of the topsoil layer under winter and early spring grain crops was quite sufficient and optimum.
Only in some raions of the southern and southeastern regions, the meter soil layer showed low-scale moisture content, which was insufficient for winter wheat and spring barley further development as of the beginning of May, informed the Hydrometeorological center.
Also, at the end of the decade spring barley, spring wheat and oats reached formation of the lower culm node, tillering, third sheet and sprouts. The condition of crop areas was mainly good.
