The FINANCIAL -- In 2015, the winter wheat production in Ukraine will total 24.5 mln tonnes, corn - 25.7 mln tonnes, winter barley - 3 mln tonnes, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, referring to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, on July 7.
According to the forecast, the average yield of winter wheat will total 3.7 t/ha, corn - 6 t/ha, winter barley – 2.8 t/ha.
In addition, the Hydrometeorological Center forecasted that in the current month, the air temperature conditions will be optimum for successful harvesting works. So, since July 9, the air temperature in most oblasts of Ukraine will drop to +25-26°С. However, possible rainfalls will somewhat trouble harvesting works, according to APK Inform.
Ukraine will not face extremely heavy precipitations in the coming weeks. However, all territories will have several periods of rains, which would delay the harvesting works, said Mykola Kulbida, Director of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.
